Identity Rights at Welford Primary School

Article 7

Children have the right to a name when they are born.

Article 8

Children have a right to an identity, this includes a name and nationality.

Article 11

Children must not be taken out of their own environment illegally or be prevented from returning.

Article 14

Children have the right to choose their own religion and beliefes. Their parents should help them decide what is right and wrong and what is best for them.

Article 20

Children who can't be looked after by their family must be looked after by people who respect the child including their relgion, language and culture.

Article 30

Children have the right to learn and use the language, customs and religion of their family.
